Port St. Lucie, Fla. — Florence E. Davis, 67, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died September 22, 2012 at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Born in Amesbury, Florence was a resident of Port St. Lucie, Fla. since 2009.
She attended Essex Agriculture Technical High School in Danvers.
Prior to retirement, Mrs. Davis was an office manager for Towle Silversmith in Newburyport, for nine years.
Florence was a member of Faith Congregational Church in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
She was an avid cook, loved her family, and was an outdoor enthusiast. She was also a civic and religious leader throughout her life.
Florence was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Hemingway, and a sister, Marlene Headley.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Howard Davis of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two daughters, Shari Davis of Lake Charles, La., Elizabeth and her husband Gary S. Hoogkamp of Port St. Lucie, Fla; four sons, Mathew Hemingway of Farmington, Maine, Steven Davis and his wife Debbie of Lake Charles, La., Kenneth W. Davis of Portland, Maine, WO1 Keith Davis and his wife Christina of Houston, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Service was held at Faith Congregational Church, 2199 SW Savona Blvd, Port St. Lucie, Fla. 34953.
Burial will be in Louis Davis Cemetery, DeRidder, La.
