Georgetown — Hallie F. Flanders, 90, of Georgetown, died May 1, 2014 at Loomis Nursing Home in Holyoke, Mass. She was born in Georgetown, the daughter of the late Albert and Alberta (Hardy) Chase, and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Flanders helped to support her mother and five siblings upon the early death of her father. She was a proud graduate of Perley High School. She worked at Sylvania in Ipswich and retired from Western Electric in North Andover with over 20 years of service.
In her youth, she enjoyed bowling with her sisters and friends. She was also impressed by her travels to Bermuda and Thailand. Her greatest joy and satisfaction came from her family and home. She was a wonderful sister, faithful wife, loving mother, and doting grand and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Flanders was the wife of the late Warren J. Flanders for 58 years. She is survived by her sons, Barry J. Flanders and his wife, Jillayne, of Southampton, Mass., and Dana F. Flanders and his wife, Nancy, of Houston; as well as five grandchildren, Julie, Lindsay, Brianne, Evan, and Grace; and one great-granddaughter, Becca-Anne.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Monday, May 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Merton E. Roberts, Jr. and Conte Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant St., Georgetown. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery in Georgetown.
