Seabrook, NH — William Donald Pecoraro, Sr., age 74, of Seabrook, New Hampshire, passed away Friday evening at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 17, 1938, he was one of seven children of the late Thomas M. and Agnes (Foley) Pecoraro and was a graduate of Everett Vocational Technical School and had served with the United States Navy.
As a master electrician, he worked for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, IBEW Local 103 until his retirement. He also worked as the electrical inspector for the Town of Newbury for many years. He was a true professional who genuinely enjoyed his lifelong career with IBEW and the lasting friendships he made during that time. His enjoyments included working around the house and spending time at Plum Island with family and friends, taking in all the beauty the ocean has to offer. He also enjoyed the great comraderie he shared as a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks.
In addition to his beloved wife, Brenda (Heywood) Pecoraro of Seabrook, NH, he leaves behind his three daughters, Sandra Leonard and husband Timothy of Plum Island; Suzanne Anderson and husband Richard of Boxford; Lorry Feeney of Seabrook, NH; his four grandchildren, who were very special to him, Timothy Leonard, Jr., Kurtis Anderson, Coreen and William Pecoraro; his brother, John Pecoraro and wife Ann of Abbington; his two sisters, Joan Alger and husband Brad of Stratham, NH and Patricia Caswell of Zephyrhills, FL, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by his son, William D. Pecoraro, Jr., three brothers, Tom, Paul and Joseph Pecoraro and two very special aunts Josephine and Alice Foley.
He will be remembered as a devoted family man and hard worker, with strong convictions, great sense of humor and abundant kindness. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours at the Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport, will be Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. followed by a funeral mass at 1:30 P.M. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Green Street, Newburyport, with interment in Belleville Cemetery, Newburyport. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Post Office Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
