WOBURN — Emma H. (Annessi) Murphy, of Woburn, passed away unexpectedly on January 13, 2012 at the Winchester Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was 94-years-old.
Born in Brookline, she was a resident of the south end of Woburn for 80 years. A graduate of Woburn High School Emma enjoyed painting, cooking, and most of all spending time with family. Emma was a former member of the Ladies Sodality of the Immaculate Conception Church in Winchester and also the Bowling League.
Beloved wife of the late Chester P. Murphy. Loving mother of Joyce M. Meekins and her husband Joseph of Amesbury, Chester P. Jr. and his wife Anna of Winchester, and Mary-Frances Murphy of Woburn. Cherished grandmother of Justine Fairchild and her husband James of Kingston, NH, Jarod Meekins and his wife Terrie of Salisbury, Joseph Meekins and his wife Jamie of Seabrook, NH and Dawn Marie Johnson and her husband Gary of Winchester. Also survived by 6 loving great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Mary V. Connolly. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass was celebrated on January 17, 2012 at St. Patrick's Church, Stoneham.
