Merrimac, MA — William G. Pease, 75, longtime Merrimac resident, died Saturday evening at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, surrounded by his family.
Born in Springfield, Mass., on May 2, 1938, he was the son of the late Arthur H. and Virginia J. (Rand) Pease. He graduated of Portsmouth High School, Class of 1958. After graduating from high school, he entered the military, proudly serving his country with the U. S. Army.
For many years, Mr. Pease was a school bus driver for the Pentucket Regional School system, the Broookwood School system as well as for Bethany Homes in Haverhill.
Bill was a longtime member of the Merrimac Lions Club and a life member of the Moose Lodge. His passion in life was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his beloved wife, Patricia A. (Farrar) Pease, to whom he would have been married 53 years on June 29, he is survived by his son, William G. Pease, Jr. and wife, Trinity; his two daughters, Mindy Ziehler and husband, Wally, and Janina Pearson and husband, Dan; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Deborah Evans and Kathy Nutt; along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He will be missed by them all.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours at Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 36 West Main St., Merrimac, will be held Thursday, June 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services at the funeral home will be Friday, June 21, at 11 a.m. Private interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Merrimac.
