Norman J. LeBlanc

Amesbury, MA — Norman LeBlanc, 83, passed away on April 8, 2014, at Hunt Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Danvers. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Freeman) LeBlanc. Norman was born on February 25, 1931, in Amesbury. He was the son of Irois and Marie (Roy) LeBlanc.

Norman was a graduate of Amesbury High School, Class of 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy for five years during the Korean Conflict, and then went on to earn an associate degree in accounting from Bentley College. He was employed as a section chief at Western Electric in North Andover, until his planned, early retirement at age 55.

Norman was a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart/Holy Family Parish. He was a member of the building committees for the Amesbury High School and Cashman Elementary School, as well as a Boy Scout Leader and an interim Scout Master for Troop 7. He was an avid golfer and member of Amesbury Country Club for many years, until his health no longer allowed him to play the game he loved. He also enjoyed playing pool and 45's with his friends.

In addition to Nancy, his caring, devoted, and loving wife of 60 years, he is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss their Dad and Pappy very much. His children, Norman Jr. and Sandra LeBlanc of Amesbury, Joyce and Orestes Santacross of Bennington, Vt., Diane and David Sedler of South Berwick, Maine, and Jon and Renee LeBlanc of Kingston, N.H.; grandchildren, Shannon and Korey Hlebichuk, Nikki and Darryl Green, Lindsey and Gavin Santacross, Shauna, Maria, Erica and Kyle Sedler, and Maighan, Victoria, Luc, and Audrey LeBlanc. Great grandchildren, Liv, Carly and Luke Norman.

Norman is also survived by his brother and his wife, Andre and Francine LeBlanc of St. Lambert, Canada; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends.
