Newburyport — Nina Fournier passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 12, 2014. Born in Haverhill, MA, she was the daughter of Larry Coburn and Judy Pynn. Nina attended Haverhill public schools. For the last 28 years, she resided in Newburyport with her husband, John Fournier and their children, Calvin and Emily.
Nina was well known in the community, and owned "Nina's Wieners," her well known hot dog stand, that she operated at Atkinson Common for many years. She also bottled and sold "Nina's Homemade Zucchini Relish" in local stores. Nina had many talents, she was a great cook and seamstress.
Nina will be remembered for her infectious laugh, smile and huge heart. Her most pleasurable times were spent at home with John, Calvin, Emily and their many friends. Nina never turned away a friend, and her door was open to everyone. She was rarely seen without her beloved pets, Cain and Eddie.
Nina leaves behind her husband, John who was her true love and best friend; her son, Calvin and her daughter, Emily, her pride and joys. Being a loving mom was her biggest accomplishment. She leaves her mother, Judith Pynn and husband, Mark; her father, Lawrence Coburn and wife, Diane; her sister, Laurie Paul and husband, Matthew; as well as many nephews and a niece and countless friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Twomey, LeBlanc & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport, MA 01950. Services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nina’s name to the Institution for Savings Bank Newburyport.
