Amesbury — Joseph V. Fazzio, 63, of Amesbury passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Beth Israel – Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He was born in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill High School and Worcester State College.
Joe worked for 25 years at Borden Chemical Company and also worked in the Identity Theft Department at the Internal Revenue Service.
Joe loved cooking and no one ever left his house hungry. He was an online shopping king, who also loved to travel and take cruises. He enjoyed playing cards, golf, and bowling and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan. He was also a member of the Garibaldi Club in Haverhill.
Joe was a Vietnam War veteran and served with the U.S. Army. He was a combat veteran and received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
Joe was predeceased by his father, Joseph A. Fazzio and is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca (Cloutman) Fazzio; his mother, Susie (DeSando) Fazzio of Haverhill; his children, Christopher M. Fazzio and his wife Melanie of Hampstead, NH and Angela M. Minichillo of Haverhill; his sister, Pat DuFresne of Merrimac; his sister-in-law, Diane Germanowski and her husband Glen of Amesbury and his twin grandchildren, Dominic and Christopher Fazzio of Hampstead, NH and one niece.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Cataudella Funeral Home 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill.
