Amesbury Mass — Arthur passed away peacefully at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston, Mass., from complications of brain cancer. He was born in Lynn, Mass., on January 30, 1946, son of the late Bertha (Vaughn) Doucette, and was predeceased by his loving wife, Loretta P (Giles) Doucette, after 33 years of marriage.
Arthur worked for many years as a factory worker in Amesbury, Mass., and many will remember him from working at Stop N Shop in Amesbury, Mass. He was also known by his friends and family for his love of playing 45s and he taught most of the kids in the family to play so he could take our pennies! He was quite competitive with this. Arthur was a loving man who made lots of friends over the years, and was taken great care of by the staff of the Amesbury Housing Authority in his last years. Special mention to Geannina and Tomasina for being such wonderful friends and mentors to him; he loved you both very much.
He is survived by his three children, Arthur S Doucette Jr., and his wife, Michelle, of Warner N.H., Gary J. Doucette and his wife, Diana, of Newmarket, N.H., and Denise Blinn and her husband, Douglas, of Seabrook, N.H. Arthur is also survived by his six grandchildren, Davina Dion, Codi and Brandon Doucette, and Hailey, Nicole, and James Minkle.
ARRANGEMENTS: There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 18, at 10 a.m. at the Trinity United Church, 103 Lafayette Road, Seabrook, NH 03874, located in the Seabrook traffic circle.
