Newburport, MA — Priscilla Jane (Corduan) Coffin of Newburyport and South Hampton, N.H., died January 9, 2013, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Herbert C. and Priscilla D. (Jones) Corduan.
Predeceased by her husband, John James Currier Coffin, who died in 1978, Priscilla was an avid mentor, advocate, family historian and creative person. She saw beauty and potential where others did not and greatly influenced the lives of those who were blessed to have known and loved her with thoughtful gestures, historical stories and subtle humor.
Her survivors include two daughters, Priscilla J. Coffin of Arundel, Maine, Susan P. C. and Robert True of Byfield; four grandchildren, Jennie Bradway of Santa Fe, N.M, Benjamin Bradway of Santa Fe, N.M., Jeremiah and Heather True of Haverhill, and Charles True of Byfield; and two great-grandchildren, Rowan Dulfer and Rebecca True; sister, Lucia and Richard Luce of Sandwich; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial concert of Priscilla’s violinist/composer father’s music will be held August 4, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the South Hampton Town Hall, 1 Hilldale Avenue, South Hampton, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the First Religious Society Unitarian Universalist (FRSUU), Wilson Chamber Series, 26 Pleasant Street, Newburyport, MA, 01950.
