Felipe “Phil” Rios, 48, of Seabrook, died Friday, February 3, 2012 at his home after a courageous three-year battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.
Felipe was born July 23, 1963 in Ogden, UT a son of Irene (Martinez) Rios Gonzalez.
Felipe was raised in Magna and graduated from Cyprus High School, Class of 1981 and later attended Salt Lake City Community College.
He moved to Seabrook in 1998 and was employed with Service Federal Credit Union at the corporate office in Portsmouth, NH, until his illness forced him to retire.
He was a member of Holy Family Parish in Amesbury, MA, and enjoyed gardening and traveling.
He is survived by his spouse, Brian Felch-Rios; mother, Irene Gonzalez of Magna, UT; his son, Felipe Rios, Jr. (Amanda) of Magna, UT; two daughters, Destiny Rios of Magna, UT and Lindsay Rios (Jerren Kjar)of West Jordan, UT; a stepdaughter, Melissa Martinez (Juan) of Barrington, NH, a sister, Christine Woltkamp (Michael) of Magna, UT; his brother, John Martinez of West Valley City, UT; four grandchildren, Emilio, Sean, McKenzie and Jayleen; and his beloved nephews and nieces.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be from 6-8 P.M. Monday, February 6, 2012 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in St. Joseph Church of Holy Family Parish, corner of School and Sparhawk Streets, Amesbury, MA. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Seabrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. If desired, donations may be made to the family in their time of need.
