ROWLEY, MA — Erna L. (Locke) Kehoe, 87, of Rowley, passsed away Tuesday afternoon, May 20, at the Country Center for Health in Newburyport, surrounded by family. She was the widow of Michael M. Kehoe.
Erna was born in Salem, Mass. to her late parents, Albert J. and Josephine (Kneeland) Locke.
During her working years she was a stitcher and was retired from the National Stay Shoe Factory in Lynn.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Rowley. Playing bingo and traveling gave her much pleasure. Erna loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with them.
She is survived by her daughter, Marion Hitaj of Rowley and a brother, Albert Locke of Rowley. She also leaves six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Manuel Kehoe, who passed in 2012.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29, at 10 a.m. in the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent St., Rowley. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, 145 Boston Road, Lynn. A period of visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
