Amesbury, MA — Ruth (Dorn) Ryan, age 87, of Amesbury, died peacefully Saturday afternoon, February 23, 2013 at Maplewood Care & Rehabilitation Center in Amesbury, surrounded by the family she loved and cherished.
Born in Braintree, March 15, 1925, Ruth was the daughter of the late John J. and Kathryn (Diamond) Dorn and after graduating from Newburyport High School, attended the School of Modern Design in Boston.
Ruth’s love of little children led her to become a Kindergarten teacher at Mrs. Boyle’s Kindergarten in Newburyport.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul S. Ryan of Amesbury; her son, Keith S. Ryan and wife Deborah of Atlanta, GA; her daughter, Melissa Bromley and husband Marc of Carmel, CA; her granddaughter, Ryan Bromley of Atlanta, GA; her three grandsons, Patrick and Sean Ryan and Dahl Brinson; her sister, Nancy Twomey of Newburyport, along with many dear friends.
The wonderful memories she has given to those she loved will live on forever and become lasting treasures of the heart.
ARRANGEMENTS: By request of the family, there will be no visiting hours. Funeral services and interment will be private for the family. Arrangements are by Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury.
