West Newbury — Charles Frederick Phillips, 52, of West Newbury, passed away on February 22, 2013 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 16, 1960 in Boston, MA, son of the late W. Martin Phillips and Pamela (Pearson) Phillips.

A carpenter by trade, his passion was the restoration of historic homes. Nothing meant more to Charlie than spending time with his family and dear friends. His generous spirit made all feel welcome and at ease. His smiles, laughs, and keen sense of humor will be remembered always.

He is survived by his wife Julie (Wettlaufer) Phillips, his children Katherine and Thatcher, sister Kippy Jones, nephew Gareth Jones, all of West Newbury, his brother-in-law Tom and his wife Luana Wettlaufer and their daughter Kelsey, all of Calgary, Alberta, and brother-in-law Gary Wettlaufer of Mississauga, Ontario.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Memorial Service on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 166 High Street, Newburyport. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill and Bradford.
