Seabrook, NH — Marvin A. Dow, 79, of Seabrook, died on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at his home, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Portsmouth on May 14, 1934, and was the son of the late Marvin and Alice (Randall) Dow.
Mr. Dow was employed by the former Barr & Bloomfield Shoe Co., and also worked as a welder. He retired from the Bailey Corporation in 1992.
He was a former member of the B.P.O.E #909 and Moose Lodge #1601, both of Newburyport, Mass.
He shared 63 years of marriage with his wife, Mildred A. (Knowles) Dow. In addition to his wife, family members include his son, Michael Dow of Seabrook; two daughters, Regina Emond and Lynn Donovan, both of Seabrook; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Mark Dow, in 1960; and by his sisters, June Eaton and Nancy Eaton; and his brother, John Dow.
ARRANGEMENTS: Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, November 30, in the Wildwood Cemetery, Seabrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Rockingham VNA & Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833, or to the charity of one’s choice.
