Brattleboro, Vt. — Joseph Scione, Jr. passed away at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital on May 27, 2012. He left his home on Salisbury Beach many years ago but never lost his love for Salisbury. He traveled around the country working as a handyman, carpenter and farm hand. He finally settled down in Brattleboro working as a farm hand for the remaining years. He was the son of Joseph Scione, Sr. and Gloria H. Peters Scione. He was a free soul and lived life on his own terms.
He is survived by a son, Jason Scione of Exeter, and a daughter, Angel Cronin of Amesbury. He is also survived by a brother, Eugene Chuck Scione and his wife Danita of Salisbury; brother, Richard Hughes and his wife Jody of Salisbury; brother, Robert Hughes and his wife Michelle of Rochester, N.H., a sister, Judy Derr and her husband Frank of Pennsylvania, and a sister, Tracey Donovan and her husband Brennan of Exeter, N.H.; and two grandchildren, Riley Scione and Jacob Scione of Haverhill.
ARRANGEMENTS: By his wishes Mr, Scione was cremated and there will be no formal service, burial will be in St Maries Cemetary on October 29, at 11 a.m. for those who would like to attend.
