Newburyport, MA — Judith A. (Hudson) Beaulieu, 74, of Newburyport, died Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. She was the wife of the late Ernest J. Beaulieu.
Born in Ipswich, on November 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Fred R. and Natalie (Leslie) Hudson and worked as a central service supply technician at Anna Jaques Hospital for 14 years.
Judy enjoyed making up trivia questions to ask her family and friends, as well as playing poker, Yahtzee and doing crossword puzzles. She loved to read and especially enjoyed Stephen King novels. Judy also had a gift for writing and poetry. She was an unselfish mother and grandmother who adored her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Joy and husband, William, of Holbrook; Paula Couture and husband, Bernard, and Renee Beaulieu-Merrill and husband, Ernest, all of Exeter, NH; two sons, David Nadeau of W. Newbury and Ernest Beaulieu, Jr. of Hampton, NH; three brothers, Carl Hudson of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Philip Hudson of Rochester, NH, and the late Richard Hudson of Tucson, Arizona. Judy also leaves her eight grandchildren, Matthew and William Joy, Jr.; David and Cameron Beaulieu; Jennifer Demille; Scott and Alan Givetz; and Jessica Ramsey; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; along with many dear friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours at Elliott Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green St., Newburyport, will be Tuesday, April 8, from 3 to 5 p.m. immediately followed by a Service of Remembrance at 5 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
