Foster NSW, Australia — Marguerite Gouin Stewart Horne passed away on May 31 in Foster New South Wales, Australia.
Marguerite was born in Amesbury to the late Paul and Rosella (LaRochelle) Gouin.
She was a graduate of Sacred Heart grammar school and Amesbury High School. She was a postulate for the Grey Nuns of the Cross until health issues forced her to leave.
Marguerite was predeceased by her brother, Bernard Gouin, and sister, Rita (Gouin) Doyle. She leaves brothers, Paul Gouin of Newburyport and Charles Gouin of Henderson Harbor, N.Y.; as well as sisters, Jeanne Drouin Mitchell of Salem, N.H., and Dolores Doonan of Lakeland, Fla., and Salisbury, Mass.
Marguerite leaves behind five sons in Australia, Bernard, Raymond, Scott, David and Norman. She also leaves 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by her family in Australia, as well as those here in the U.S.
Although she lived in Australia for many years, she made frequent trips back to Amesbury when her health allowed.
