Hampton, N.H. — Ann Louise Short Eaton, 82, of Hampton, died Tuesday, October 9 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Newburyport on June 9, 1930, a daughter of the late Albert G. and Angelia E. (Merrill) Short.
Ann was raised in Newburyport and attended Newburyport High School. Her family was her world and she was a loving, caring and devoted mother, wife, nana and great-nana. Ann had a way of making everyone she met feel special and important and she will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends.
Family members include her son, Robert Thompson, Jr., and his wife Deborah of Hampton; her daughters, Robin Brown and her husband Jesse of Seabrook, N.H., Angelia Drake and her husband Richard of Hampton and Julie Kaiser and her husband Nils of Hampstead, N.H., her 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her brothers, Albert Jr. and Harold Short and her sisters, Vivian LeClair and Gertrude Bartlett.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be from 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday, October 12 in the Remick and Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the First Congregational Church, 127 Winnacunnet Rd., Hampton. Burial will follow in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton.
