Newburyport — Francis G. Bradbury of Newburyport, MA, passed away at his home, October 2, in Newburyport, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Francis was born August 2, 1935, in Newburyport, MA to the late Stephen H. Bradbury and Chestina Fowler. He graduated from Newburyport High School, Class of 1953. He worked 40 years for A & P, as a meat cutter. Francis was a veteran of the United States Army, serving time in Korea. Francis was a lifetime member of the Neptune's Fireman's Association. He loved playing pool and attending the annual Neptune's outing. He faithfully watched the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, was an avid reader, enjoyed fresh-water fishing and every day completed a cross-word puzzle.
Francis is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor (Turner) Bradbury of 56 years, he leaves behinds his 5 daughters and 1 son, Patricia Pelletier and her husband, Stephen, Frances Marie Connors and her husband, Patrick, Arthur Bradbury and his wife, Laurie, Millie Folley and her husband, Michael, Ann Carrier and her husband, Robert, and Deanna Sanfacon and her husband, Greg. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, Stephen, Brooke, and Melanie Pelletier, Ryan Dignard, Myles Bradbury, Chelsea Everly, Kaitlyn and Isabella Carrier, and Kendall Sanfacon; two step-grandchildren, Christopher Connors and Jakob Folley and several great-grandchildren. He also leaves his four brothers, George, Stephen, Dennis, and Robert, and his three sisters, Deanna, Vicki, and Sally. He was predeceased by his step-grandchild, Nathan Folley and his four brothers, William, Henry, Daniel, and Paul, and his sister, LeeAnn Welch.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be on Monday, October 7th, 10 am to 12 pm at the Twomey-LeBlanc & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport, MA. A memorial service will immediately follow at the Funeral Home, followed by burial at the Highland Cemetery in Newburyport.
