FLORENCE, CO — Francis L. Burns Sr., of Florence, Colo., passed away on Sept. 2, 2004, has come home to Rowley for his final resting place.
He was born in Rowley on January 4, 1926, to the late
Leo and Laura (Allen) Burns. Frank was a Merchant Marine Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by six children and their spouses, sons, Francis Jr. and wife Nancy Burns, Robert and wife
Leslie Burns, and Donald and wife Darlene Burns; daughters, Patty and husband Dean Dixon, Bonnie and husband Jim Cordell, and Sharon and husband Tim Morrison; a brother, Richard Burns; and a sister, Thelma Maynard of Rowley. He also leaves his step-children,several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
