L. Claire (Charette) Pelletier


Danvers, MA — L. Claire (Charette) Pelletier, age 85, of Danvers, formerly of Amesbury, died peacefully Thursday morning, September 12, 2013, at Putnam Farm in Danvers, with her beloved family at her side.

Born in Kennebunk, Maine, October 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph N. and Blanche (Houle) Charette, step-daughter of the late Yvonne (Pelletier) Charette and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Salem, Mass.

Claire and her beloved husband, the late Roger W. Pelletier who died September 29, 2005, were dedicated parents, raising five children. She was a wonderful mother, tending to all the needs of her family, always there to console, to encourage, to admonish, and to give her unconditional love. She took great pride in her family and was especially overjoyed with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, spoiling them every chance she got. She shared with them her love of quilting, bowling, gardening, walking and square dancing. She loved her family and was blessed by their love in return.

Her family will forever remember her kindness, her warm smile, and her enthusiasm for life. The memories they made over the years will continue to warm their hearts and keep her love alive.

She is survived by her two sons, Steven Pelletier and wife, Maureen, of Melrose, formerly of Ipswich and Mark Pelletier and wife, Debra, of Salisbury; her three daughters, Jill Carr and husband, Christopher, of Deerfield, N.H.; Yvette DeOtte and husband, Richard, of South Lake, Texas; and Suzanne Perakis and husband, Robert, of Strafford, N.H.; her grandchildren, Carrie, Wendy, Adam, Joshua, Elizabeth, Laura, Bria, Michael, Anna, Daniel and Sophie; her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Aidan and Jocelyn; her brother, Paul Charette of Danvers, Mass.; her two sisters, Janet Bouchard of Beverly and Diane Charette of Salem, Mass.; along with several generations of nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Roland Charette and her sister, Rita Boivin.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Ave., Amesbury, will be Tuesday, September 17, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church of the Holy Family Parish, 2 School St., Amesbury, followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amesbury. Flowers are welcomed and donations if the giver prefers may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore and Greater Boston, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923 or to the Holy Family Parish, 9 Sparhawk St., Amesbury, MA 01913.
