Newburyport — Raymond J. Haley, 85, of Newburyport, passed away at his home on August 1, 2013. Raymond was born in Newburyport on February 6, 1928, to the late James and Louisa (Quill) Haley. Raymond worked for many years as a Silversmith with the Towle Silver Company in Newburyport. He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. During his spare time, Raymond loved his garden and enjoyed woodworking, however his greatest passion was his home and family, especially his grandchildren.
Raymond is survived by his beloved wife, Loretta A. (McKeown) Haley of Newburyport; his daughters, Mary Carter of Amesbury, Dianne Libby of Merrimac, Mass., and Linda Rose Haley of West Newbury; his grandchildren, Christopher and Nicole Carter and Meaghan Flynn; his siblings, Marjorie Fanaras of Dover, N.H., Louisa Kekopoulos of Venice, Fla., and Michael Haley of Plaistow, N.H.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Raymond was predeceased by his brother, James Haley.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his funeral Mass on Monday, August 5, at 10:30 a.m. in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Green Street, Newburyport. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Newburyport.
