Doris Nathalie (Colby) Terry, 90

Brentwood, NH — Doris Terry passed away on March 15, 2013.

Born in Bradford, MA to Charles L. and Mina (Peabody) Colby, she was educated in Bradford Schools and graduated from Haverhill High School in 1941.

Mrs. Terry worked for several Haverhill area department stores and later was employed by the IRS in Andover, MA. After retiring, she lived in Newburyport, MA where she was site manager for the Senior Nutrition Program for several years.

An avid reader, her interests included history, religion, poetry and genealogy. She spent many hours researching and documenting family history, going back many generations.

She was a woman of strong Christian faith, most recently attending Byfield Parish Church in Byfield, MA.

She was the widow of Milton C. Terry to whom she was married for 59 years. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she found great joy in her family, delighting in stories and photos of her great grandchildren.

She leaves two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Faith Terry-Yacovone and Robert Yacovone, of Newton, NH, Susanne V. and Donald O. Comeau Jr. of Danville, NH, two sons, Mark E. Terry and Myles C. Terry of Newton, NH, six grandchildren, Mia (Yi) Sohns of Macedon, NY, Jason Yi of NYC, Lauren Yacovone of Newton, NH, Mark E. Terry II of Auburndale, FL, Donald O. Comeau III and Timothy S. Comeau of Haverhill, MA, six great-grandchildren, Erica and Samantha Comeau of Haverhill, MA, Sarah and Nicholas Colby Sohns of Macedon, NY, and Summer Dowdy and Mark E. Terry III of Auburndale, FL. She also leaves a sister, Virginia M. Blaser of Bradford, MA. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Colby Jr.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday March 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A) Plaistow Village, NH 03865.
