George H. Collins


Haverhill, MA — George Collins passed away unexpectedly at his home in Bradford on Sunday, March 30, 2014.

George was born and raised in Newburyport and graduated from Newburyport High School. He worked for the City of Newburyport retiring from the Water Department in 2009.

George was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing since a young age. He spent many years hunting with his father, brother, cousin and many close friends. He was a life member of the North End Boat Club in Newburyport where he spent many memorable hours.

George leaves behind his fiancée and best friend, Tina DuBois of Bradford, as well as her family. He leaves his good friend and cousin, Raymond Hartnett of Westport, Mass., along with close friends, Daniel “Brother” Wilson, David Dodge, Eric Beard, Tom and Carol Hegarty and Keith Stanwood. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Raymond J. and Maxine D. (Hartnett) Collins and brother, John “Jack” Collins.
