Seabrook, NH — Priscilla L. Palazzo, 89, a resident of Seabrook for 46 years, died on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood.
She was born in Newburyport, Mass., on October 28, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Edith D. (Brown) Perkins. She was a 1942 graduate of Newburyport High School.
Mrs. Palazzo was the wife of the late Frank J. Palazzo Sr. for 67 years, and who predeceased her in 2010, and with whom she owned and operated the former Seabrook Donut Shop. She also worked as a keypunch operator for United Engineers at the Seabrook Power Plant before her retirement.
She was a member and past deaconess of Trinity United Church, past president of the Raymond E. Walton American Legion Auxiliary Unit #70 of Seabrook, and past director of District 3 of the American Legion Auxiliary, a member of New England Women, Essex – Worcester Colony, Sons and Daughters of the First Settlers of Newbury, and a past president of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Priscilla enjoyed knitting, bingo, going to yard sales, and doing crafts. She was an avid card player and liked nothing better than to spend a day playing cards with her family members and friends.
Family members include her daughter, Priscilla L. Johnston and her husband, Albert, of Dover; a son, Frank J. Palazzo Jr. of Hiram, Maine; eight grandchildren, Derek, Ashley, Kevin, Keith, Kenney, Andrew, Ginger, and Frank; her great-grandson, Connor; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Perkins; and sisters, Edith Hamilton, Frances Hoyt, Nan Sayball, and Esther Hickey.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, September 17, at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 18, at Trinity United Church, Lafayette Road, Seabrook. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Seabrook.
