Francis H. Finneran died Tuesday, February 07, 2012 at the Kindred Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Newburyport. He was the son of the late Patrick and Genevieve (O’Connor) Finneran of Ashland, MA. Francis leaves his wife Mary G. (Wallace) Finneran of Newburyport to whom he has been happily married to for 5 years. He was predeceased after 56 years of marriage by his first wife, Elizabeth M. (Burke) Finneran of Newburyport who died in 2006. He was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Parish of Newburyport. Francis attended Ashland schools then joined the Navy and served during World War II in the South Pacific. After the war he went to Bentley School of Accounting in Boston where he received his degree in Accounting. He worked as an accountant for the New England Telephone Company for many years. After retiring he worked in real estate as well as for the Immaculate Conception Parish in their business office.
