Karen Joyce Cody, 46

Seabrook, NH — Karen Joyce Cody, 46, of Seabrook, N.H., and formerly of Peabody, Mass., died on Monday evening at the Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H., after a brief illness. She was born in Salem, Mass., on June 28, 1967, and was the daughter of Robert Cody and the late Carolyn J. (Newhall) Cody. Raised in Peabody, she later moved to Phoenix, Ariz., for six years, before moving back to Seabrook 14 years ago.

Karen was a stay at home mom. She enjoyed reading mystery and romance novels, and going to the beaches in Salisbury and Hampton. She was very fond of her cats, Coco and Bandit.

She is survived by her father, Robert and her stepmother, Patricia M. (Hayes) Cody of Hampton, N.H.; a son, Jonathan Cody of Seabrook; a sister, Lisa Ackerman and her husband, Tom, of Merrimac, Mass.; and a brother, Robert Cody and his wife, Jacqueline, of Glendale, Ariz.; her niece, Megan Ackerman of Merrimac; and her nephew, Patrick Cody of Arizona; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6, at noon, at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, Mass. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
