Clovis Arnold Regis, Jr., 65


Lebanon, Maine — Clovis A. “Arnie” Regis, Jr., 65, of Lebanon, died at his home on Monday, October 7, 2013.

Clovis was born in Newton, Massachusetts on October 16, 1947, to Clovis and Rita (Brouillet) Regis. He graduated from Amesbury High School in 1964.

Clovis proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was enlisted for six years as a fire control technician. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, a Meritorious Unit Commendation and a Good Conduct Award. He married Maryann Migala of Chicago in 1969. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell in 1972 with a degree in electrical engineering. He was employed for ten years as a technical trainer at digital in Littleton, Massachusetts until the company closed. He went on to hold several other jobs during his working life. In 1995 he married Karen Bush and together they shared 18 years of marriage. Clovis was an American history buff and was particularly fond of studying the Civil War, World War I and World War II. He also enjoyed studying about American antiques.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Regis of Lebanon; four children, Jen Major and her husband Bob of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Michael Regis of Litchfield, New Hampshire, Trevor Regis and his wife Melanie of Hudson, New Hampshire and Carolyn St. Onge of Nashua, New Hampshire; three step-children, Tim Bush of Spring Lake Michigan, Joanna Bush of Keene, New Hampshire and Bethany Bush of Rochester, New Hampshire; four sisters, Elaine Paden and her husband John of Keene, New Hampshire, Laura LaPore and her husband Joe of Londonderry, New Hampshire, Nancy Royce and her husband John of Rochester, New Hampshire and Maryann Gulezian of Merrimack, Massachusetts; four brothers, Ronnie Regis and his wife Sandy of Brighton, Tennessee, Tim Regis and his wife Bonnie of Amesbury, Massachusetts, David Regis and his wife Gale of Amesbury, Massachusetts and Scott Regis and his wife Rose of Calhoun City, Mississippi; 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 11th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale. Interment with military honors will follow at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery located on Stanley Road in Springvale.
