Amesbury — Helen J. (Brozewich) White, just 14 days shy of her 94th birthday, died Sunday morning, November 4, at Amesbury Village Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of 71 years of the late James G. White, who died March 21, 2008.
Born in Lynn, November 18, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Mikolai and Maryanna (Grabowska) Brozewich. She moved to Amesbury at the young age of five, where she attended local schools.
After her children were through school, Helen worked at R & G Manufacturing in Amesbury for some years.
She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Amesbury, the Amesbury Grange, Pomona Grange and the Whittier Club, and always looked forward to playing Bingo.
She is survived by her son, John T. White and wife Janet of Amesbury; seven granchildren, Sheila Santosuosso, Sharon Santosuosso, David Santosuosso and wife Margaret, Michael Santosuosso and wife Gia, Jennifer Belanger and husband Kevin, Stephanie Conlin and husband James, and Gregory White and wife Bethany; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew, Katlyn, Maggie and Jesse Santosuosso, Jamie Laplante and Jeremy and Kayla Conlin; one great-grandson, Adam Santosuosso; three nieces and two nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Deanna Santosuosso; a son, James G. White, Jr.; a grandson, John T. White, Jr.; brother, Sigmond Brozewich; a son-in-law, Michael Santosuosso; and a niece, Glenda Schneider.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services for relative and friends will be held Friday, November 9 at 11 a.m. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, followed by interment in Union Cemetery, Amesbury. By request of the family, there will be no visiting hours.
