Salisbury — Oliver J. Wise, 63, of Salisbury, a loving husband, devoted step-dad and step-grandpa, passed peacefully at home on Friday, July 5, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Ollie enjoyed his work at the Essex County Correctional Facility and the Gavin Foundation in South Boston. He helped countless individuals with his skillful psychotherapy.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Walburga Wise of Quincy, Mass. Ollie is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Wise; stepdaughter, Ann Marie Tinkham and her husband, Jerry, of Salisbury and their three daughters, Katherine, Megan and Shannon; two stepsons, James Caponigro of Newburyport and Michael Caponigro and his wife, Danielle, of Newburyport and their children, Cali and Cameron; two brothers, William Wise and his wife, Nancy, of Hingham and James Wise and his wife, Denise, of Georgia; two sisters, Pauline Munroe and her husband, Paul, of Hingham and Kathy O'Keefe and her husband, Joseph, of South Dennis; and several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Twomey - LeBlanc and Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport, MA 01950. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Star of the Sea Salisbury Town Church.
