Newburyport, MA — James H. Walsh, age 39, of Newburyport, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, January 2nd at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Batavia, New York, December 6, 1973, he was the son of Sharon A. (Bates) Walsh of Newburyport and Joseph F. Walsh, III of Germantown, Maryland.
Jimmy had cerebral palsy, and needed care with everything he did. However, he was a true teacher, reminding everyone on a daily basis of the value of the simple things in life, and the beauty of pure, unconditional love. The love he gave will always warm the hearts of those who were touched by him. Jimmy found enjoyment in all types of music.
In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his twin sister, Jacqueline Ranger and husband, Jeffrey of Kingston, N.H.; sister Cynthia Walsh of Amesbury; his brother, Joseph F. Walsh, IV and wife Lisa, of Berwick, Maine; one niece and many nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours at Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Please feel free to share your remembrances of Jimmy when signing the guest book during visiting hours. It will be our lasting tribute to him.
