Plum Island - Saugus — Mrs. Sylvia M. (Olson) Baker, 77, died on Friday evening, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of the late Elwin R. Baker, who passed away in January of this year.
Born and raised in Medford, she lived in Saugus for over 50 years.
Mrs. Baker was a devoted homemaker, and summered at Plum Island for many years.
She leaves two sons, Richard Kane of Saugus, and Douglas Kane and his wife, Jennifer, of Amesbury; two daughters, Kimberly Kane and her husband, Thomas, of Tewksbury, and Kelley Baker and her companion, Larry Doak of Newburyport; seven grandchildre; and one great-grandchild. Sylvia was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Avenue, Saugus, on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited.
