Seabrook N.H. — Ronald Lucien LaPlante, Sr., of Seabrook, N.H., died peacefully on March 28, 2013. He was born in Holyoke, Mass., the son of Lucien LaPlante and Lillian Gelinas LaPlante. He graduated from Holyoke High School and served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife Judith (Burt). He also leaves his son David and his wife, Kathryn Hicks, his daughter Karen Bruno and her husband, Glenn, his daughter Deborah Harmon and her husband, Marshall, his daughter Denise Fox and her husband, Timothy, his son Ronald and his wife, Kathryn, his daughter Elizabeth Witherell and her husband, Richard, his stepson, Donald Elton, his stepdaughter Diane (Elton) Bragg and her husband, Michael, 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters, Shirley Henault and Lillian Thomas and her husband, Edward. He was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Richard, and his sister Rosemary Cilio. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He worked in manufacturing for many years as a systems analyst, ending his career at Delta Electronics in Beverly, Mass. He was active in the American Production and Inventory Control Society and served as an officer in the Springfield and Boston chapters. He enjoyed playing tennis, was active in Community Theater, and was an avid life-long reader.

He was born on December 12, 1943, in Haverhill, son of the late Charles and Pearl (Scott) Peltier. A resident of Newton, N.H., for the last 20 years, John grew up in Kingston, N.H., and was a former longtime resident of Newburyport. John was self-employed as a carpenter for many years and had worked for 10 years as a maintenance worker for M & V Electroplating Corporation in Newburyport. He was also formerly self-employed as a logger in Newton, N.H.

Concord, N.H. — Louise Lovell, age 101, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Havenwood in Concord, N.H., where she had resided since 2000. She was born on Paige Hill in Goffstown, N.H., September 19, 1911, the daughter of Stanley K. and Louise (Foster) Lovell. Louise’s mother died soon after giving birth. The three Lovell children were raised by Clara Fay Foster Lovell, who became their beloved step-mother.

Byfield — Meredith, wife of the late Joseph F. McKeague, of Byfield, daughter of the late Richard and Marjorie Haselton, formerly of North Reading, and sister of the late Stephen Haselton, passed suddenly and peacefully in her winter home in Largo, Fla. She is survived by her four sons, Stephen and his wife Nancy, of Port St. Lucy. Fla., Joseph III, of Laconia N.H., Brian, of Largo, Fla., Scott and his daughter Nicole, both of Byfield, along with two sisters-in-law many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Not only was she loved and respected by all those who knew her, she gave more love and respect back to those she knew. "Meri" was an avid Patriots fan and even more so a Tom Brady fan. So much so, that no matter what was on the calender she would not miss a game sitting with her friends in Byfield. She will be missed by all and forgotten by none.
