Chefs' Table Dinner a wonderful success

To the editor:

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Newburyport, I’d like to thank everyone who made our 8th Annual Chefs’ Table Dinner, held on Tuesday, June 5, at Nicholson Hall, a wonderful success.

I’d particularly like to thank our chefs and the restaurants they represented for their time and talent on our behalf: Chef Matt Chase from Amesbury Ale House, Chef Alan Bythewood from Anna Jaques Hospital; Chef Patrick Soucy from Ceia Kitchen + Bar; Chef Kevin Jacques from the Corner Kick Pub at Amesbury Sports Park; Glenn’s Restaurant & Cool Bar; Chef Patrick O’Neill from The Grog; Chef Beau Marchitelli from Michael’s Harborside Restaurant & Bar; Chef Kevin Butler from Oregano Pizzeria & Ristorante; Chef Gregg Pugh from Plum Island Beachcoma, and Chef Robert Bean from Ten Center Restaurant & Pub. Thanks as well to Diane Xenelis and the Newburyport Starbucks for providing coffee service for the dinner.

I’d also like to thank my fellow Rotarians for their assistance with organizing the event and to all who attended. Gratitude also goes to the Institution for Savings, the Newburyport Five Cent Savings Bank and Chase & Lunt Insurance for their sponsorships of the evening’s festivities. Lastly, thanks to the many who made donations or provided items for the evening’s auction. With the assistance of so many, the Rotary Club of Newburyport was able to raise over $10,000 to be donated to the Anna Jaques Capital Campaign. Thank you once again to all who were in some way part of the evening’s success, and for helping us making a difference in our community.
