A vote for clean energy bill

To the editor:

Recently there has been construction of one wind turbine within our city limits, sparking much more interest in alternative energy within our community. Our townspeople, and America as a whole, are ready to support alternative energy resources. This past summer, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the American Clean Energy and Security Act, H.R. 2454. This historic event brings us closer to our goal of a cleaner, alternative energy state; however, the Senate needs to follow suit. I urge Senator Kerry to recognize the power of clean energy and vote for strong clean energy legislation that revitalizes our economy with good-paying green jobs and saves people from Massachusetts money on their energy bills.
