Fogel is best choice for state rep.

To the editor:

Barry Fogel is the best choice for state representative for the new Second Essex District.

Barry has impressive and relevant experience both as a public servant and in private practice as an environmental attorney. This experience working on both sides of an issue qualifies him uniquely in this race to be a good legislator from day one, as well as to advocate skillfully for his constituents.

Experience aside, however, Barry’s problem-solving approach and open-minded perspective are important critical skills for a successful legislator. It’s not enough merely to advocate for your constituents -- you have to listen to all sides of the issue and find common ground, even with those with whom you disagree, in order to bring about successful and lasting resolution. If you have met Barry, you’d know that these are hallmarks of his character.

Barry Fogel will bring a keen intelligence, relevant skills and background, and a great sense of humor to his work as a legislator on Beacon Hill. That’s why he has my vote, and I urge you to give him yours, too.
