Thanks for making voting easy in Amesbury

To the editor:

As a citizen of Amesbury, I was very pleased that the 2012 presidential elections were held at the Amesbury High School. It was a relief to be able to vote at the end of a long work day without lines and to be greeted so courteously and helpfully by the police department, city staff, polling volunteers and high school student volunteers. The planning for this important presidential election was handled superbly by the city, and I thank Mayor Kezer, staff and volunteers.

Other cities have not fared so well, and as of this writing, long lines still wait at the polls and likely long after the closing of the polls.

Amesbury citizens are no doubt grateful for the careful planning for this election!
