To the editor:
“If you kids don’t stop that fighting, you’ll go to your room.”
I remember my mother hollering those words out of the dining room window at myself and siblings in the yard squabbling non-stop until she got sick of it. I think the American public are tired of the never-ending squabbles in Washington that results in nothing getting done to solve our national problems. “It’s my way or the highway” is getting us nowhere. The two parties need to sit down together and work out some reasonable compromises. Our debt must be reduced through fair cuts and more revenue. Come on, kids, get this done, or we will send you home in the next election.
