No More Fukushimas thanks City Council

There were also representatives from Amesbury and West Newbury at the meeting, and we are grateful to them. But, hands down, our City Council was the largest and most dominant contingent from any state. An audience member even said, “Gee, I am thinking of moving to Newburyport, so that I could have a City Council that (fights for its constituents) like that.”

While issues will sometimes divide the Newburyport City Council, when it comes to protecting the safety of their constituents, the gloves come off. We think NextEra should ditch the schoolboy experiment in Texas that is messing with our lives, our property and our businesses. The message from the members of the City Council is crystal clear: We want “No More Fukushimas” here!
