AHS Senior Class thanks local businesses

To the editor:

The senior class officers at Amesbury High School would like to express our sincere gratitude to the local businesses that donated generously to our Senior Celebration cookout that took place on Tuesday, Aug. 27. The event would not have been possible without the support of Shaheen Brothers for its donation of hamburgers and hotdogs, Fantini Bakery for buns, Charlie’s Pizza, Dianne’s Find Desserts, and Hodgies Ice Cream. Additional product contributions from Poland Springs, Coca-Cola, Vermette’s Food-Mart, and gift cards from Stop & Shop, Shaw’s and Sam’s Club all helped make this a fun, food-filled event for the entire senior class and our advisers.

An annual tradition, the Senior Celebration cookout is a great way to build class spirit and cohesiveness going into our last year of high school and would not be possible without the generous support of the community.

Logan Piercey

2014 class president, Amesbury High School
