Thanks for helping school award 5 scholarships

To the editor:

Every year the staff at Salisbury Elementary School awards two $1,000 scholarships to students from Salisbury, who are graduating seniors from Triton, to help support their college education.

This year the Staff Scholarship Committee was able to award five $1,000 scholarships to Triton graduating seniors from Salisbury.

We had additional funds to distribute this year due to the support of the Salisbury community during our 2011 and 2012 Basket Raffles, additional SES staff fundraising efforts, as well as a generous anonymous donor to the Scholarship Fund.

The Salisbury community has always been very supportive of SES and we appreciate their efforts. These scholarships remind our students that we continue to care deeply for them, long after they leave us.

These seniors from the Triton class of 2013 were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship for a total of $5,000: Caroline Benoit, Jessica Fiers, Dylan McDougall, Jenna Poulin and Jamie Richards.

We are very proud of each of them and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
