Looking at effects of government shutdown

To the editor:

With the government having a partial shutdown due to the Obama Administration and Democrats in Congress not willing to compromise on Obamacare, a sad day in Washington is upon us when the panda camera has gone black.

How will the world survive? Will the deer and the antelope get along without human intervention at Yellowstone National Park? Just what do the deer and antelope do when they’re not in the public eye?

Just think, President Obama may have to shine his own shoes as much of his staff are furloughed. Wait, I’m watching the president walk over to his Marine One helicopter, carrying his golf bag. I guess this is just another day at the office for him.

Isn’t furlough another way of saying “laid off”? I feel so bad for those in the public sector who have to go through what some of us in the private sector do on a regular basis — not.
