Too much trash around

To the editor:

Finally, the snow is gone. I love to hear the birds singing again and to see the flowers starting to sprout up, but you know what spoils it? Trash! And paper bags are not the only problem. There are plastic cups and paper cups, candy wrappers and soda cans. These things are carelessly thrown along side streets everywhere. I have picked up two bags full before, only to find it the same mess in a few days.

How about the mayor or someone caring enough about the looks of our city, and the animals the trash might harm, providing trash recepticles for those who can’t wait til they get home to throw their trash away?
