Businesses thriving, not closing down

To the editor:

I am writing in response to The Daily News article “Move afoot to revitalize downtown,” dated June 14.

As a business owner in downtown Amesbury, I take exception to Mr. Mooer’s assessment, “The reality is that most of us are on the verge of closing.”

On the contrary, my business, The Fashion Bus Stop, as well as other local businesses are thriving. An example of this would be the latest issue of Around Town Magazine that is devoted entirely to our downtown businesses.

The Fashion Bus Stop recently celebrated our one-year anniversary. I was overwhelmed by the support of my loyal customers and look toward the future with excitement and optimism.
