Disgusted by union's arrogance at AJH

To the editor:

Karen J. Bartnicki's letter on May 21 regarding the IBEW workers who are picketing Anna Jaques Hospital was right on. The union is not doing itself any favors by their bullying tactics and underhanded way of expressing their discontent of not getting the bid at AJH. They are unfairly utilizing our public streets in the guise of the First Amendment when, in fact, they are personally attacking the medical community and Anna Jaques Hospital in an unjust way. I am with Ms. Bartnicki and rather than support the IBEW, I am disgusted by their arrogance and righteous attitude.

We are fortunate to have Anna Jaques Hospital here in Newburyport, and I continue to support this institution and hope that the IBEW realizes that this is negative publicity on their part and doing themselves more harm than good. I say get back to work and get off our streets.
