To the editor:
The Newburyport Lions would like to thank everyone who supported the club and purchased a ticket for this years raffle/dance held on March 9. We would also like to thank the companies that made supporting contributions: General Linen Co., Alden Merrill, and the Homebrew Barn in No. Hampton, NH. All event proceeds will go to local charities.
The $75 raffle winners were: Karen Georgilas, Lu Schiavone/Laurie Naught, Diane Drinan, Judy Milliken/Byron, Kimmy Schiavone, George Lawrence, Jack Boothroyd, Randy and Joan Baptise, Kathleen Bailey, Lisa Van; $100 winners were: Kathy Eaton, June McGregor, Betty Ventura/Claire Lawrence, Dave Sheppard, George and Claire Lawrence; $500 winner was Dave O’Brien; $5,000 winner was Lee Ann Griggs.
