Library thanks author for visit

To the editor:

The staff of the Langley-Adams Library in Groveland would like to thank Groveland native and author Christopher Burns for volunteering his time to read from and discuss his historical fiction novel, “Island

Wilderness: Imagining the Early Years of Martha’s Vineyard.” This event was part of our month-long Groveland Gathers to Read series.

On March 6, Mr. Burns shared his novel with our patrons and answered their questions about his book and his writing process. He even donated 10 complimentary copies of his novel before the event.

We look forward to Mr. Burns’ return to our library soon to talk about his next novel set on Plum Island during the 1950s.

Director, Langley-Adams Library
