Vote Yes on Newbury override

To the editor:

This is not about politics. This is not about money. This is about keeping Newbury a safe and beautiful place to live.

We are a nonpartisan group of concerned citizens of Newbury. We want to do what is best for the safety, well-being and happiness of our town as a whole. That is why we are standing behind the proposed tax override.

The proposed tax override of $293,000 for the town of Newbury is necessary to restore critical town

services such as police coverage and fire wages. This override increase averages out to an increase of $82

on the average $400K home in Newbury. We are asking you to please stand with us when you vote on Nov. 6. Vote yes to pass the tax override. Thank you.
