Thanks for supporting coalition

To the Editor:

On behalf of Newburyport Youth Services and The BEACON Coalition, we would like to recognize several area businesses for their kind dessert and decoration donations for our annual Asset Builder Awards. This event was held on Thursday, March 14th at City Hall from 7-8:30 p.m. It was an amazing night in which members of the community were recognized and commended for the work they are doing to build youth and community assets.

The following businesses provided their delicious baked goods for our dessert reception:

Eat Cake, Zac & Ani’s, Buttermilk Baking Company, Simply Sweet Candy, Greta’s Great Grains, Chococoa Baking Company, Winfrey’s Fudge & Chocolates, Shaw’s Supermarket.

In addition, balloons for the event were donated by Denise’s Flower Shop and Funny Bones. Their decorations made the night feel very special! We are energized and proud to be a part of such a generous community, and look forward to hosting the event in 2014.
